The Saint-Hubert Chapel

route de Saint-Hubert
6971 Champlon

This is the most ancient chapel of the area of Saint-Hubert. It was founded during the 11th century, then confided to the abbey of Saint-Hubert at the 12th century that built a farm and a hospital close to it. The legend says that it is there that Saint Hubert converted to Christianism after meeting a cruciferous stag while hunting. A cross that is called "red cross" indicates the place where this conversion took place. The current chapel dates back to the 19th century. It has rests of the ancient one.
